Welcome to ACE Kendo Academy.

Located in Chantilly, Virginia, ACE is a full-time martial art studio offering classes Monday through Friday, to adults, teens, and children.

ACE was founded a few years ago as a small club, but the pandemic forced the club to close down. ACE was fortunate enough to find a permanent location and re-opened in November of 2022, and have been actively teaching, learning, and competing.

ACE is led by Grand Master Sang Wook Cha (6 Dan), a former professional Kendo athlete in Korea, with experience in both competitive and coaching backgrounds. Master Cha brings traditional swordsmanship in a more approachable curriculum, and emphasizes a fun-learning environment, while slowly influencing his students to reach maturity in character and physical skills. His goal is to make Kendo more accessible to the general public and hopes to contribute to a healthy lifestyle through Kendo in our community.

ACE is confident in the quality of teaching, masters’ experience and quality, and a continued effort in developing the curriculum and standards to strive to be the best Kendo studio in the area.
